The bracket is drawn the way the bracket is drawn. Sadly that means that sometimes the country's 2 new favorite teams have to match up early. I know it wasn't just me thinking that both of these teams should advance. On one side we've got N.C. State who just a week ago won 5 games in 5 days to dismantle the ACC and get into the tournament. Our jaws collectively dropped when we saw DJ Burns looking more like a Floor General than an O lineman. He is an absolute tank and probably my favorite player in the tournament.



On the other side, we had Captain 3 himself Jack Gohlke, who took the microphone and said "We're not a Cinderella" after their big upset over (3) Kentucky. He hit 10 threes in the first round and then another 6 last night.



This was one of the best games we have had so far in the tournament. N.C. State beat Oakland in OT, 79-73 and it's the end of the road for Greg Kampe and the Golden Grizzlies, but man did they capture our hearts for 48 hours. 



Just another reason why this tournament is special. Everybody and anybody has a chance to be special! Oakland, we won't forget you, against any other team and you would've kept the magic going.

But this Wolfpack team is special. The last team to win 5 games in 5 days was the 2011 UConn Huskies. They won the whole damn thing that year. 



Could The Stump potentially see N.C. State make a magical run all the to see the HUSKIES....how magical would that be....it is March after all!
