Well, thereâs been a bunch thatâs been going on in Indy these last few days when it comes to the Quarterback position. Letâs dissect itâŠ

In case you missed it on Sunday, after running for 10 seconds in the backfield and ending up with a short gain, Colts QB Anthony Richardson tapped his helmet and looked at the sideline. As a viewer, we didnât fully know what was going on, but he came out for a third down and Flacco came in for a snap. The game ended in an eventual Indy loss, and at the postgame presser, Anthony Richardson said that he had to come out to catch his breath.
After hearing this, the media has absolutely gone off on AR for saying this, saying you canât say that as the franchise QB. Two days later, AR has been benched in favor of Joe Flacco.
All of the AR doubters are coming out of the woodwork to share how âfrom his college tape, you could tell his game wouldnât translate.â
Was it the smartest thing in the world to come out and say that he was tired? No, it wasnât. But is it worthy of being a moment that seems like it could stay with him for months? I donât know if it is. The kid made a mistake. Heâs 22 years old and he went to the podium and was just being honest with reporters.
Rarely do we root against anybody here at the Stump, so hereâs to AR now learning behind a savvy vet and coming back stronger than ever!
Now about that savvy vet! Are you kidding me? Are you telling me that FLACCO IS BACK?!?!? My god, thereâs something about that guy slinging the rock that just makes Sundays more exciting. After taking the Cleveland Browns to the playoffs last year, Joe Flacco has a chance to be special again and take an Indy team that has playoff-caliber talent all the way.
It all starts this Sunday night on Primetime against the Minnesota Vikings. You win that game Joe, and you set the world on fire.
