A little under a week ago we saw 4 of the top 5 ranked AP Poll teams fall on the road. There was only 1 who was able to beat their conference rival on the road. The UConn Huskies. After a welcoming of snow greeted students back to campus on Tuesday, it seems to have just been a teaser as to the storm that will erupt in Gampel Pavilion tonight at 7PM.
Students were lined up as early as 6AM outside Gampel in the freezing cold in order to have front row seats to their Skies who are the #1 ranked team in the country for the first time since March of 2009. Not only in this the teams first home game at #1 in 15 years, they are facing off against rival Creighton who comes in ranked at #18 in the country.
There’s not much more to say. Campus is alive, Gampel is sold out, it's $2 Miller night, and approximately 1 Billion Dunkin gift cards will be given out tonight. We are in for what could be one of the loudest Gampel atmospheres of all time.
Roll Skies!
