😢 Marchand Traded Out of Boston

In an absolutely stunning trade at the end of yesterday’s NHL Trade Deadline, the Boston Bruins sent their captain Brad Marchand to the reigning Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers.

Marchand, 36, has spent the entirety of his NHL career in Boston since he debuted with the team in the 2009-10 season. He’s currently sidelined with an upper-body injury that will keep him out until right around the postseason, but his career record speaks for itself.

He is also in the last few months of an eight-year deal and talks stalled with Boston this past offseason. I get why Boston did it, but it’s not going to feel right seeing him in any other jersey.
