Some really good college ball games last night in PRIMETIME, let’s get into the best games across the country:

Blue Devils Hand #2 Auburn first loss: Two of the sports best faced off last night in Johni Broome and Cooper Flagg. Neither dissapointed. Duke took a 7-point lead into halftime and kept the momentum going in front of their home crowd. Duke was ranked #9 but is primed for a jump after this win! Auburn loses their first game fresh off of winning the Maui Invitational!

UConn Gets Back on Track: After losing three straight in Maui, the Huskies were left scratching their heads about what this season may entail after winning back-to-back nattys. It wouldn’t get any easier, either. The (25) Huskies welcomed (15) Baylor Bears to town. Both teams happened to be without their star players, so the playing field was evened out. The Huskies got off to a slow start, falling behind 19-8. UConn stormed back and eventually took the lead late in the first half. They led almost the whole second half and were able to hit free throws down the stretch to win it. Liam McNeeley and Aidan Mahoney had clutch performances for the Huskies, getting them back on track.

#1 Falls in Omaha: It was a battle of two of the best basketball programs in middle America, as the number one team in the land, Kansas, traveled to Omaha to take on unranked Creighton. The Blue Jays entered the season ranked, but had fallen out this week. Well, that won’t last. (1) Kansas never led in the game and fell behind 10-2 early. From that point on, the Blue Jays never looked back. Creighton shot above 44% combined three and two point shots, including outrebounding the Jayhawks 44-31. What was most shocking was how much more physical Creighton looked. Pop Isaacs was a massive boost for Creighton, dropping 27 points on 66% shooting.

Bama Can Score: (10) Alabama kept (20) North Carolina about an arms length away all game. Winning at the Dean Center in Chapel Hill is never easy, but Bama sure made it look like it is. Alabama got off to a hot start and never got cold, scoring 94 points on the road against a ranked opponent. UNC now falls to 4-4, and will most likely fall out of the Top 25 next week.

Cyclones Pull Away Late: (6) Iowa State welcomes (5) Marquette to town last night and seemed to have the game well under control, until they didn’t. Iowa State spent almost the whole middle portion of the game up about 10 points, but a 10-0 Marquette run about half way through the second half tied the ball game at 61-61. Iowa State went on to outscore Marquette 20-9 to finish the game, winning 81-70.
