What to know: The Eagles did it! Not only did they do it, but they did it convincingly! Eagles 40, Chiefs 22! Letās dive into itā¦
Before we get started here, if you want the analytical perspective on the game, youāll get that everywhere. In fact Iāll give you a link to go to ESPN or CBS Sports right here. Iām sure some suit will give you all the numbers and details.
What we go for instead is straight JUICEĀ š§Ā
I hope other NFL Fans can relate to this, but what we saw yesterday was AWESOME! One of the more satisfying wins for not āour own teamā in recent memory. Yeah, caught red-handed. I am a little bit of a salty Bills fan, but watching what that Philly D did to Mahomes was incredible. It was a good old fashioned ass kicking. The score even makes it look a lot better than it was. It was 40-6 before some garbage time TDs for the red team.
I gotta say that the Philly team that was on the field last night looked like by far the best team in football. All three phases were incredible. The only analytical thing Iāve got for you is this. The Eagles did not blitz once the entire game, yet they were one sack shy of the sack record in. a Super Bowl, and it was their D Line that single-handedly won them the game. They gave Mahomes basically no time to throw and made him not only look mortal, but confused out there. It was very reminiscent of the Bucsā Super Bowl win against the Chiefs, with the D Line wrecking the game!
I know that Philly fans are obnoxious, but the way Jalen Hurts gets treated is crazy, All he does is perform and churn out great seasons, and people donāt like to label him as āeliteā. The poise to stand in the pocket, make good throws, and take off when he needed to last night was incredible. Especially because there was nothing going on with Saquon Barkley. A Super Bowl win goes a long way. Hurts now has a ring while Allen, Lamar, Burrow, Goff, Herbert, and others do not. Hurts has always had a calm demeanor about him, and it was great to see him perform the way he did.
Congrats to the Eagles!
No more talks of three-peats, no more GOAT talks for a little while, just back to the drawing board. Please, for the love of god, letās beat this team next year!
